Estate agency is changing – And so are we

2020 has been the most unpredictable year on record.

I think we’ll look back on it as the year the world changed forever.

I hope we can learn from the lessons of lockdown and look at what communities can do when they come together to help each other.

We saw the impact that modern life was having on the environment when pollution plummeted as we stayed home and consumed less.

Talking of homes, I believe this is the year when estate agency changed forever.

The changes that were going to happen over the next five to ten years have been turbocharged due to Covid-19.

Technology has driven this, and we’ve made sure we’re in the right lane. We now offer 360-degree Virtual Reality video tours within our gold package. These tours attract thousands of extra viewers to your property when posted online – they also weed out the curious buyer from the serious ones who will want to go on and view your property.

During the 25 years, we’ve been serving the people of Hampshire and Berkshire we’ve always looked ahead to see how we can improve what we do for our clients.

And the lockdown period gave us time to introduce all the changes we’ve been working on.

Being a family run and proudly independent agency meant we could move swiftly and implement new things.

Traditional is Essential

We are looking to the future, but some things are timeless and are as important now as they were when we started trading in 1995. Such as have conveniently positioned offices.

When selling their biggest tax-free asset people quite rightly expect more than live chat via a website as the online-only agents do. They want the reassurance of working with an established agency with a bricks and mortar presence where you can visit, have a cup of tea and chat about your property wants and needs.

This approach is sometimes called traditional estate agency, but I think it’s better being described as essential estate agency.
