Sansome & George November Auction

Posted on: 8 October 2012

The next auction being held by Sansome & George in partnership with Network Auctions is, once again, being held at The Glaziers Hall overlooking the River Thames in Central London. The auction will take place on November 1st at 1pm.

David Sansome of Sansome & George said: “To date, across our five auctions held so far in 2012 we have achieved an impressive sale rate of 81%, a clear sign that the mix of our local expertise and marketing coupled with national promotion is generating great results.”

Awareness of auctions as a method of sale has increased significantly and Network Auctions Directors Toby Limbrick and Guy Charrison were recently invited to speak at The Negotiator Conference held in Central London where auctions was one of the major topics under discussion.

The November 1st auction has an interesting selection of lots and seller clients include lenders in possession, local authorities, executors, private sellers, PLC’s and asset managers.

All of our auctions are video streamed live to the Network Auctions website (www.networkauctions.co.uk) and the results tweeted directly from the auction room (@NetworkAuctions). Over 350 people regularly watch our auctions live via the video service.

David Sansome added: “Once again our partnership with Network Auctions is enabling us to provide clients with an alternative route to selling property of all types and across all price ranges. It is this comprehensive approach that is helping us lead the way in property sales locally.”

Auctions are a superb way of selling a wide variety of property as they provide:

Transparency – all interested parties have the opportunity to bid

Certainty – Bidders exchange contracts and the transaction is secured as soon as the auctioneer’s gavel falls and the seller avoids the pitfalls of timewasters, chains and sales falling through

Speed – sellers have complete control over the transaction

Guy Charrison, auctioneer for Network Auctions and President of the National Association of Valuers & Auctioneers added: “Auction numbers have significantly increased in recent years and provide an excellent method of property disposal.”

Sansome & George are already inviting lots for inclusion in the next auction on December 6th. Sansome & George will be pleased to advise on what is involved. David Sansome can be contacted on 01256 807111 or by email on ds@sansomeandgeorge.co.uk
